I've always wanted to go to some sort of convention thing like this!!! Where people dress up like their favorite charater ((whether it be Bleach, Death Note, Star Wars, Batman, ect)).

Well I've been looking EVERYwhere for something like this in Oregon... but there was nothing. The closest place I found was like Tacoma, WA ....or canada......and that wouldn't work for me haha

Well, hours of searching, lots of cake, candy, and music...I finally found something called "Kumoricon". [link] ((click the link to go to the Kumoricon site)). Its EXACTLY what I wanted!!! I was soooooo happy, and a bit surprised, that Oregon has something like this!!! Yea, its in Portland, Oregon... 3-4 hours away from me... but hey, thats better than Washington or CANADA!!!

And i finally have someone who would go WITH me and actually be IN Kumoricon with me now! One of my best friends is into cosplay stuff like me now and her and i have a blast doing things at home like our characters ^_^

If her and I get up enough money for next year, ((and after calculation everything.... gas money, food money, entry fee, hotel cost, parking, ect. it would be litterally like $400-500 bucks...yea these aren't cheap...)) we are so going to try and go!

But heres the thing... I have NOOOO idea who I would want to go as...... I'm stuck between L from Death Note, and Ulquiorra from Bleach.... I can be L with no problem at all because I love him, know everything about him, and he's easy to dress like ^_^ Ulquiorra on the other hand... hes a bit of work hahahahaha I do love him more than L, and know every little thing about him too...and aleady getting his outfit/makeup anyways ((for some other thing)), so I thought "if im paying this much to actually get his full outfit and everything... i might as well USE it for something else too".....

But...but... i REALLY like playing L too!!! AHHHH!!

Anywho.....

My friend and I are SOOO going to try and do this next year! If it doesnt work this year... then maybe the next year??? lol either way, we'll get there somehow someday!!

So, have any of you heard of this??? Or have any of you gone to Kumoricon??
ALSO!!!

Another question for people who have actually done cosplay and have actually been IN a convention thing like Kumoricon.... what is it like??? What EXACTLY goes on during it and what do you do?? I know just from reading the Kumoricon site and watching vids from some ppl on youtube who have been to it, that you basically just have fun, meet new people, do some contests (like dancing, cosply contests, art, games, and much much more)...... but is that it??
